Honey Garlic Turkey Bowls
Honey garlic chicken wings were my fav growing up. I got thinking of them this week & decided to make a healthier version in these turkey bowls! An amazing quick & easy meal that is great for leftovers.
Honey Garlic Turkey Bowls
1.5 lbs lean ground turkey
1 red pepper
1 carrot
1 shallot
(I had some roasted corn leftover from the southwest cobb, so added that in too!)
Sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce (or sub coconut aminos)
3/4 cup honey
3 tsp garlic chili sauce
1 tbsp mince garlic
Salt & pepper to taste
In a pan cook the pepper and carrot until tender, add in the shallot and cook until soft. When veggies are tender, add in ground turkey and season well with salt & pepper. Once turkey is cooked through, add in sauce & cook on medium high until sauce has reduced and thickened (about 10 minutes). Serve over rice, cauliflower rice or eat as is! (My hubby liked to add sriracha to his for extra spice!)
